A History of Violence (2005) / The Boondock Saints (1999) - Blu-ray Forum

Is anybody out there as exited for these two great films to be hitting Blu-Ray on the exact same day?? I for one am as I have been a huge fan of both of these since they first came out, and pre-ordered Boondock as soon as it became available...But am still awaiting the pre-ordering for History of Violence to start up soon. All I know is February 10th will be the best day my mailbox ever had, since The Godfather Blu-Ray caressed it's insidey goodness.

we are totally stoked for boondock saints coming to blu-ray. and they just started filming the sequel, all saints day.

OK WAIT A MINUTE, can you PLEASE send me info on that to confirm they have began filming??? I've been hearing this rumor for years now, and nothing ever comes of it, I am dieing to know!

it's on a bunch of movie news sites. they even have a video blog on youtube. i wathced some of the clips the other day.

I will be picking up Boondock Saints. Even though it's a Cronenberg film, I will pass on History of Violence. Just didn't find it all that compelling either way.

OMG, now today I see that on the same day as these two, now we get Donnie Darko: CE too!!!! My mailbox is going to have an orgasm lol. 3 of my favorite films one day it keeps getting better and better! And thank you so much for the links on youtube, i can't believe everyone is back and that All Saints Day is really happening. Damn Julie Benz in those stilettos, white button up, red hair, and revolver twirling skills looks FINE!

Hmm...maybe Boondock is not as overrated as I thought. Only 18% on rottentomatoes. I would have said more like a 10% though.

Yeah, yeah, I know, you don't listen to critics or reviews, you just watch the movie. rottentomatoes is a fairly accurate gauge of a movie's "quality" though.

EDIT: sorry, don't mean to crap on this thread as it should be more about the release of the blu-ray, not the actual movie itself.

Rotten Tomatoes is based on what critics think so it is in no way how I gauge film quality, a critic is just someone who is paid to see movies, doesn't mean their opinion matters anymore than some on on this board. I personally love the dynamic of this film, but I get not everyone is part of The Flock and too each his own, but for me, 2/10 is my Saints Day!
