Horror Anthology Movies on Blu-ray! - Blu-ray Forum

Some of my favorite horror movies to watch in October are Horror Anthology movies. There's just something about them that sets the perfect tone for Halloween time and thankfully, most of the best ones have already been released in Blu-ray.

Since there are threads devoted to slasher movies on Blu-ray and Giallo movies and other sub-genres, I thought the forum might be interested in one that chronicles the various releases of anthology movies.

What IS a horror anthology movie? A horror anthology movie is a horror movie comprised of two or more shorter stories, sometimes featuring a "wrap-around" story that ties them together in some way.

Love a good anthology...usually. I turned off ABCs of death by the letter J

i'm just being argumentative for no good reason but i'm not sure the Grindhouse double feature counts as an "anthology" per se. unlike the others which are single features w/ multiple vignettes, this is merely 2 distinct features which can just as easily be enjoyed separately... just my 2 cents

I wasn't sure if it's okay to post imported titles here, but since everybody else is doing it...

Spirits of the Dead has a region-free release in the UK, and it can be found in a few other territories. Other versions I see don't look English-friendly.

Creepshow 3 has a German release, but there's no indication on what its region code status is.

currently not on blu-ray but my anthology movie IN THE DARK 2015 is free on Amazon Prime right now. I'm not sure if it's OK to post a link or not.

This is a great thread idea! I'm such a film/TV anthology junkie, so this will help me check which ones I still need to pick up (I dropped the ball on Arrow's Creepshow 2 release

There's also the 1967 Italian anthology film called The Witches.

It's hard to categorize as pure horror, but some of the stories go to unusual places.

I regretted going past F is for Fart but quit after reaching L is for Libido. Horrible anthology and this is from someone who rarely ever quits watching a film no matter how bad.

I like anthologies too, but feel I haven't explored them fully. Seen Creepshow 1&2, Trick r Treat, Cat's Eye, Twilight Zone, Grindhouse, VHS. What next 3 or 4 (whether on blu or not) would you folks recommend?
