Anyone **not** having luck finding these at their Target? I might stop by later today but I don’t wanna waste my time.

I just went to a Target near me, no copies were on display so I asked and they said they had them in the back but they can't sale any until the 6th as they can be fined for doing so. I guess you can make the trips in hopes that your Target is not enforcing that.

Yep. Some people are lucky.

They go to a Target where an employee just so happens to put out copies a week early, they give them to the customer who then has the store manager override the system.

Thus, walking out with an early copy...

It may be that Netflix isn't doing a BF deal for Stranger Things this year and since it's not listed in the BF Target ad like previously, I don't think I'm going to be in the mood to brave the mad shoppers to find out.

If that's the case, I guess I can wait for the inevitable bit of a price drop.

I bought the Blu-ray last year for $10. That was the BF price, but they later (around Christmas) lowered it to $10 again. That's when I snagged it because I'd heard about it, but had never seen it and had nothing to lose for $10. Hoping for that price again.

If they do by some chance drop the price for BF without any advertising, I doubt it will be $10 this time. S2 is a 6 disc set, not 4 like last time.

Maybe $14.99 for the Blu/DVD set and $19.99 for the 4k, or something like that.

Then again, it may not be advertised because it's not going on sale this time.

There is no override for a street-dated item. The only way they walk out of there is by scamming the system by scanning something else of the same value. Thus throwing off their inventory...

Or by having a cashier manually entering it, which also throws off inventory.

And yes... the UHD version has DTS lossless 5.1 audio as has been confirmed.

And HDR10.

basically a string of unlikely events...and the funny thing is I never got the impression all of these are due to Target employees going above-and-beyond to make a customer happy, but rather being just "oh, whatever"

Not yet. It's your typical Target clown show for Stranger Things. Nov 6 is the release date and there's still no way to preorder it.

Does anybody who was lucky enough to snag a copy have a Dolby Vision set up to try it out? Seems only logical since the Netflix stream has Dolby Vision. Back covers are often misleading

There are plenty of HDR10 disc titles with DV on the streaming version. Though, streaming DV usually differs from the disc version.

There wasn't any indication of HDR at all on the back cover.

I actually like the cover, fashioned after 80s VHS big boxes (example below).

Also, I picked up this bad boy from Amazon, it's an awesome book. They made it look like a used library book. But it's well made, thick paper and plastic book cover!

Updated cover art available below. I worked up a 4K version for Season 1 now as well. Along the way I dropped the logos from the front portion and a few things from the spine for a cleaner look. Over the weekend I'll work up versions of each with 15mm spines for those that want to go with cases that can hold 4-6 discs.

I just finished working up versions with 15mm spines as to accommodate cases that can hold 4-6 discs. While I was at it I changed the images used for the top portion of the spines. I'm also calling out the number of discs in the given release on the back portion now. Well, for the 15mm versions. In any event, enjoy!
