Default Credit cards and earning points

So since I do a lot of shopping on Amazon.com I was thinking about signing up for one of their credit cards. Does anyone have any recommendations for other cards that give lots of rewards and cash back?

Suggestions are welcome.

amex is who we use mainly....i get lots of extra points every month by using it to pay for things like our electric bill and then immediately paying it right back off. Lots of blu's available on shopamex to spend your points on.

I got the amex cash back costco card, its good, you get 3% back on gas, 2% on travel/eating out and 1% back on everything else + its your costco card with ID on the back which is nice. If you do enough shopping there its a good one to get.

jwbbud you've been very helpful,

I think I'll sign up for the Amazon.com card. Seems it's the most obvious choice.

Thanks guys.

I've been using my Sam's Discover card for just about everything we purchase. It gives 2% cash back on everything (got a $550 check coming next month). We also use our Costco AMEX for Costco (1%) and eating out (2%). For gas, we've got a BP Citibank card that pays 5% cash back on all BP gas purchases.

I use a Best Buy Reward Zone card myself: My rewards are in the form of Best Buy coupons, and seeing as there's one right across the street from me, it works. I get 4% of Best Buy purchases, 2% gas, groceries, and some restaurants, and 1% everything else.
