Someone posted an email they received from him a couple of weeks ago about an "audit" happening in India that was causing a delay with Ant-Man and Incredibles 2. Last night, all of his movies were taken down from eBay. I don't think anyone here has heard from him since.

If it were me, I would start the dispute process with eBay/PayPal/credit card company. No way I would let that crook get away with my money.

I agree with starting the dispute process with who ever applies.

I don't think he is a crook. What this sounds like is that it was a small operation that grew very fast. The "Rahul and I" company/llc could NOT handle the growth and now is in trouble or out of business. I've seen this several times. Running a small operation is very different from running a large operation. Many times they can't adapt and fail.

If you've been following his past few 3D pre-orders, you'll understand why he at least has crook-like tendencies.
  • Completely inaccurate release dates
  • Takes your money months before release date
  • No communication when release date slips
  • Continues to sell pre-orders even though he does not know if/when the movie will actually release
  • Does not respond to messages or refund requests for days/weeks (if ever)

Sorry, but I've never had a problem ordering from Rahul, and I like the quality and look of the India releases in general much better than UK, Asia.

I have never received any incorrect order. The eBay pages always clearly state the release dates might not be guaranteed, but I've never had a problem with arrival times. The stuff ships from Houston so if it's in stock it usually comes pretty fast.

If the business is done, count me as someone who would be disappointed.

eBay doesn't allow pre-orders without paying, if i'm not mistaken. Taking money ahead of time also guarantees him a certain level of sale of his stock, and how he acquires it. I don't see what's criminal about that.

I've personally had Rahul respond to all of my messages, but it can take a long time sometimes, that's not criminal...that's a result of a shortage of time.

It's hard enough to find 3D releases without Rahul, now it will be harder, hopefully he will pop back up. I prefer not to have a collection mixed up with varying Asian and European languages all over them, that's just me.

I won't miss him at all. If his operation is truly shutting down, then I say good riddance. I've been burned multiple times by him and have had to dispute multiple charges through PayPal just to get my money back. I don't think he has any criminal intent, but his operation is too big for its own good. Hence my dissatisfaction and the large amount of negative feedback on his eBay page. I'm sure other customers like yourself were lucky and never had any problems with him.

As for the quality of the Indian releases, I have to disagree with you. Compared to the US and UK releases, the Indian versions often look like bootlegs with flimsy cardboard, faded ink, and no embossing on slipcovers. Almost all of my imported 3D discs are from the UK, and there is no foreign language on any of the cases/slipcovers. They are all in English. And most of the UK slipcovers have a nice metallic shine and embossing. The Indian releases look flat and washed-out in comparison. There's also the matter of inferior audio quality on several Indian 3D discs (Infinity War and Valerian come to mind).

The point is -- there are plenty of other places from which to import 3D discs. As I pointed out in another thread, Rahul does not/did not sell any 3D disc that wasn't available for purchase elsewhere. (The only exception might be The BFG 3D). Almost all of the 3D discs he sold are still available for purchase on sites like Amazon UK, Zavvi, DDDHouse, etc. -- all with higher quality packaging and at better prices.

Rahul has been giving $3.00 or more discount incentives for title's if purchased on his site.
Maybe he's reached his goal to not be so dependent on E-bay sales?

I must of been lucky. I e-mailed Rahul to see if he could rush an order. He responded and was ultra quick sending it out.

Star Wars The Last Jedi 3D. I think I got that one before most reviewers did.

No embossing on slipcovers?! That's it, now I'm really mad!

Embossing aside, he claimed that the quality of the Indian releases is "in general much better than UK." In my experience, that's simply not the case. And yes, I will pay a bit more and/or wait a bit longer for a superior product.

No offence to India but I would certainly find that claim hard to believe. Personally I've never ordered from him but it's a shame his previously reliable service seems to have slipped so much.

I have to agree on this; been pretty frustrated w/R&I lately. And the Indian 3D products are certainly appearing to be inferior in quality (casing/slip cover and PQ that I've noticed).

I just order all my 3D Disney stuff from Amazon UK—I wait until there’s 3 or 4 to preorder and then order together to save on shippingp, and they usually ship as they release. Never ordered from Rahul—their prices always seemed ridiculously high—I don’t mind waiting a few extra months for the UK releases to save money, I have plenty of other unopened discs to catch up on.

A nicer slipcover does not make a product superior imo. If it did they would charge more in USA stores for an item with a slip versus one without, but they don’t *in general*

The steelbooks from Rahul are the exact same as elsewhere and often considered a “Best Buy exclusive” in the USA, and provide an option for a 4K+3D package and steelbook not even available elsewhere in the USA, making it a superior product.

The only valid complaint you have is audio (in my opinion), but as I had hearing in one ear damaged at a young age honestly I can’t tell the difference so I generally go with nice soundbars for all my TVs.
