I'm not concerned with Pitt as a SB Contender.. they're much like the Chiefs. Great talent, can go far, but crap coaching. Guy on the post-game radio show was saying how Tomlin has never lost the locker room. That may be true, but he's still not the guy who should be coaching this team.

But the team itself for last night's game came out firing on all cylinders, and they took care of business single handedly. Their defense is improving.

As a spectator at the game, and for once I didn't care who won the game, I thought the game itself would be much closer. I was not expecting that blowout! I have McCaffery on 2 of my 4 fantasy teams, so his 3 TD's were pretty dang cool.

Also, I go to Pittsburgh quite often. I live just over an hour away, and my work headquarters is right next to the baseball stadium (just a block from the football stadium). But last night was my first time ever going down for a football game. I must say, especially for such a storied franchise, their tailgating SUCKS. I don't know if it was because the game was on a Thursday, or the cold temperatures, but the tailgating scene was extremely mild compared to Cincinnati, Cleveland, etc.

I keep very detailed lists of all the games I go (all sports) - last night was great for stats. Finally got to see Big Ben, who had one of his best games ever. 5 TD's, to 5 five different players. James Conner punched one in, McCaffery had 3. Plus Vince Williams with a pick 6. Sacks by Bud Depree, Cameron Heyward, T.J. Watt, Vince Williams.

They certainly have the history, that’s fact.
They are in the mix every season, and have been doing so during the New England dynasty. Pittsburgh is always a contentder. Just a well run organization(although I think Thomas could be upgraded at HC), top to bottom.
No Bell, banged up Ben and they absolutely destroyed one of the hotter teams in the league.
I’m no Pitt fan, in fact dread going to the in-laws house for the holidays because of all the damn Pitt fandom...but I have to give credit where credit is due. They are legit, and barring an injury to Ben could easily be in the big game.

Side note: mad props to Ben! He beat both Antonio Brown and James Conner, in my league!

But I do agree - if any team wants to model a team for success, #1 is Pittsburgh, top-down. Besides Tomlin, lol. My mom was always a Pitt fan, and I have several friends who are Pitt fans.. can't get away from them!

I've always liked Ben as a QB, aside from his early troubles and bonehead moves. Great to see that he still has it. People are so quick to doubt and dismiss. The current owner, Art Rooney, is a great guy - for work purposes, we've emailed and spoken on the phone a few times.

Yeah man, Reid, jeez I really liked him when he was with the Niners but after getting caught up in this whole Kaep thing has seemed to make him bitter and a bit militant apparently. A shame because he is (was?) a pretty good safety.

I know it's rather improbable, but there's some really bad NFL teams and really good college teams. A lot of NFL talent on just that one Alabama team (because they pay their players
