No thank you. I'd rather see what Bail's been up to all these years than this. Senate hearings... yay.

I'm actually interested, too, though I'd bet Bail's hands are a little dirty, and not just from Senate hearings...

The Mandalorian series seems kinda interesting. I haven't seen the last 15 or so Marvel comic films so streaming shows with those characters doesn't interest me.

There is actually ONE thing that would make me subscribe to this money grubber...

a true vaudeville-style Muppet Show redux. Not another go at the Office with Puppets.

(That old PT criticism about a lack of dramatic tension because we all know who survives into the OT and who doesn't.)
The TV show might use some characters from Solo such as Enfys Nest. And who knows maybe even Qi’Ra and Maul might have a part to play also.

I should've been more clear. I haven't actually liked any of the Star Wars films that Disney has churned out, except for certain scenes, characters, and ideas (but these don't amount to much). My favourite scenes of Rogue One involved Vader. Other than that, I enjoyed Cassian Andor as a complicated character and would like to explore him more, but I would've been fine if he appeared in an animated show rather than get his own series.

Though I think it's more a Lucasfilm/Kathleen Kennedy issue than a Disney thing. Just look to Kevin Feige. Every fan criticism was listened to and amended.

But instead we've got rebels (TFA), more rebels (RO), more rebels (TLJ), a smuggler film featuring rebels (SOLO), a imperial-turned-rebel video game (BF2), 4 tv seasons of Rebels, and now Resistance since the buyout. Plus another rebel movie next year (Ep 9)

I liked RO and Solo, but I am sick to death of Rebels. Where are the Jedi and the Sith, the primary idea Star Wars was built on? You don't even have to do Jedi, but there is so much potential and they insist on doing nothing but the same over and over again.
Damn it's worse than I thought. LOL

Diego Luna Denies Doing Rogue One Prequel Show In Hope Of Touching Jabba’s Skin

Quote:
Luna mentioned on the Rogue One press tour that the texture of Jabba the Hutt’s skin was something that he simply needed to discover, and with Cassian now getting a whole series’ worth of espionage adventures, there’s a chance that he’ll finally have an excuse meet the slimey crime lord. In an interview with Collider, however, the star insisted that this alleged life goal had nothing to do with his decision to accept this job:

“No, no, no. I guess my life will change the day I get to find out what the texture of Jabba’s skin [is like.] [laughs] One thing you say on one day in the middle of 150 interviews suddenly haunts you for the rest of your life. It’s incredible the amount of shit I get for that, I love it. I love it … but I still want to touch Jabba the Hutt.”

The Obi-Wan movie was nothing more than a rumour wasn’t it?

Far from “planned”.

That seems like the writer jumped to conclusions or was simply making it up.

There is no quote from Luna regarding the technology and a younger version doesn’t mean there are CGIing his face - it isn’t like he is some old dude. And he could also mean the show will feature him as a child in flashbacks.

On the subject of his age though there is scene in Rogue One Cassian tells Jyn he has been in the fight against the Empire since he was six years old. Assuming he is six when the Empire is created in Episode III that makes him around 25/26 in Rogue One.

Does he look like he is 26?

I’d have 30 at the youngest (he honestly doesn’t look his actual age) and the the only way I can see that comment making sense is if he is actually referring to the the Clone War. The Empire grew from that so maybe he views it tyranny as all part of that conflict.
