I am confused: do Studio Canal and Lionsgate share the same encode?

I know that for their older Blus LG and Canal would sometimes of have different encodes (For example the Optimum release of Apocalypse Now is slightly brighter than the LG release) but it seems for 4K they're pretty identical if T2 and now "Evil Dead 2" are anything to go by.

Those two are the exact same UHD discs, yes. But the two versions of the Rambos appear to be fundamentally different as there is a Spanish language option on the US UHDs. That doesn't preclude them from sharing the video encodes and muxing in their own audio tracks & subs, but they're not the exact same discs.

Wtf, StudioCanal? It also sucks, StudioCanal didn't revsited the audio, heavy front based, weak surround support and volume.[/quote] what?so the studioCanal uhd disc audio is inferior to the lionsgate uhd?haven't part one and two not just got good scores for their audio in recent reviews on this site? |

Just checked the newly drawn covers of the remastered UK SC 1080p single disc releases. They look kinda naff, don’t they?

I think of the US covers Part 1 is good, Part 2 mediocre and the 3:rd is quite good. EU/UK covers are quite bad but the trilogy Steelbook is ok - and if no other differences than Spanish missing from it I will most likely grab it (however could get the individual titles from the US some 4 dollars cheaper a movie than the French Steelbook, that 10 euro is still confusing me what I should do).

Damn. So these films have a problem in the framing. Hrmmm. Colors look debatable, extreme or not. I'm holding off on these. I just can't risk a muck up like this. Especially on this new format.
