Default 4K Protectors

Feel free to move this to the "hardware" thread, as I couldn't really decide where it would be a better fit. (Happens to be the theme of this topic!)

I tried searching for protectors/protection/cases for 4K. All I want to know is if there are is any such thing out there. My Google search didn't produce any results. Maybe the format is too new?

I've just started my 4K collection. I use the steelbook protector sleeves for my regular Blu-rays, and those should fit my 4K steelbooks too. But I also use them for my regular Blus (with slipcovers) and I wonder if there's enough of a size discrepancy to warrant a different kind of case.

Do you guys just use Blu-ray steelbook protectors for your 4K library, the non-steelbooks? I don't own any non-steel 4K yet, but I will soon. So, I can't speak to their actual dimensions, but they look slightly smaller than Blu-ray cases. Maybe the black is just slimming? lol

Thanks for your help.

I only use protective sleeves for my steelbooks. I'm just careful with everything else, when it comes to pulling it off the shelf, and removing the slip.

You didn’t mention where you’re located. Some European releases are thicker than USA amaray cases, so no idea if that would affect you.

I like how a majority of the responses are, "I don't protect my 4Ks." That's great for you guys, but I'm looking for a solution here. LOL

I'm in the US. What are you using to protect yours, European or otherwise?

My 4K's are in their slips, stark neked.

The cases are the exact same dimensions as BD cases.

I don't have a major dust problem but I use these protective sleeves from AZ for titles with slips. Note that some 4K slips are too thick for these bags, in which case I use these DVD sleeves.

Ah ok. If the keep case/jewel cases are the same size, I'll continue using the blu steelbook plastics for protection then.

I do have bags for some of my older stuff that's put away, like my DVDs or even some books, but I was wanting something a little sturdier and nicer on the shelf. The creases in the bags are on the spine and tend to hide whatever is on the shelf. Thanks for the links though!
