So how's the transfers on Night of the Creeps and Troll boxset? I'm more interested in how Night of the Creeps looks compared to the US release.

Wrong thread. They look the same but the encoding is better. Pretty much it though.

Oh man, I totally thought these were coming from Second Sight and not Eureka. I have been checking this thread randomly over the last week and couldn't believe no one was talking about them. Lol. Oops, guess I need to pay better attention. Thanks

Are Beaver caps for Berlin Alexanderplatz correct? There seems to be some filtering compared to German release caps on caps-a-holic but I might be seeing things.

No, the DVD Beaver caps for BA don't reflect what's on the disc.

They appear to have been taken with some kind of graphics card video "enhancement" turned on.

This is why I don't trust Beaver caps at all.

Thanks David, this screenshot looks particularly bad on Beaver. Can buy with confidence now.

I've found that over the last few years they've been in the right ballpark, but usually have some color inaccuracies that don't exist on the disc. The BA grabs are totally wrong though - I'm guessing something to do with the fact it's 1080p-encoded-as-1080i/50hz going through some different process on their end.

Seems like Second Sight made a good decision with their limited editions.
The Changeling and Take Shelter are OOS on Amazon, so I guess also OOP.

Must say that these are fine editions. Doubting to pre-oreder When A Stranger Calls.
This is region free, so perhaps also a fast seller.

I've got an Italian release of Amityville II: The Possession and it's pretty good

Is this likely to be a big jump in quality from the Criterion bluray?
