They overworked the team, and I think they will get it right this time.

Looks like they are taking lots of cues from Grid.

I will say this again, because I think it needs to be done. Take Need for Speed Underground 1 or 2, add some Need For Speed Most Wanted, and you have a winner...

Am I the only one that would absolutley crap their pants with a plain and simple next gen version of Hot Pursuit? Lots of cars and tracks, damage, cockpit and outside views, and Police chases. No fancy team racing bracket stuff, just good ol fashioned street racing and running from "Thuh Man"

I'd would be right there with out. Hot Pursuit 1 and 2 got a LOT of play in my systems. Pretty much every NFS game starting with 1 (except the Porsche one) got a ton of play from me, ending with HP2.

Prostreet was ok, nothing great. Might have to rent this when it comes out to see what it is like.

We aren't holding out for anything, we are all just hoping they can make a turn around, we all loved the old underground and hot pursuit games.

I would hope that they will turn it around with Shift. I liked Prostreet for what it was, I bought Undercover and was disappointed. I have been playing the NFS series since the Panasonic 3D0 release of the game. Unfortunately the NFS series is like the Rocky movies they get cheesier with each new release. Will just have to wait and see what SHIFT brings to the table, In the mean time I will stick with MC:LA and GT5P.

I will def rent Shift before buying another NFS title. The past few game they have made were all horrible.

Speaking of which...I still have my 3D0 in a box with a bunch of games. Games like Alone in the Dark, Gecko, and I still have that NFS game for it as well. I haven't played it in a while though and my system still works.

I picked one up in a pawn shop about 10 years ago. That Need For Speed game (the very first) was great.

The Hot Pursuit titles were my absolute favorites. I hope this one leans heavily on those and not the crappy import oriented ones.

My 3DO still works and we will break it out and play Twisted - The game show. Some of my favorites were Demolotion Man, VR stalker, NFS (of course), Alone in the Dark, Pebble Beach.
