I can understand having bad times and getting angry and snapping, but man he just kept going and going. Just simply uncalled for.

You should see Ed Harris on set. Talk about method. Michael Bay eats it up though and even put an uncut outtake of it on the DVD of The Rock. Of course that one he was more pissed at himself and not directing it to a member of the crew.

Kind of a bummer for me. I allways liked him on screen and looked forward to his latest flicks. Now it will be impossible to watch him without seeing a juvenile brat that looks like one of my favorite actors.

Now see I would let that pass, a little crazy, but at least he didn't degrade nobody. It almost sounded like that guy wanted to cry when Bale was ripping him a new one.

Well like I said, we don't know any back story to this. He could have apologized to the Director of Photography and everything would have been cool. While it is disappointing to see him act this way, I just think more needs to be said about what happened.

It is funny to here Bale swearing so much. Now, I truly wish The Dark Knight was R-rated. Just imagine this in his Batman Growl voice

Side Note: He was probably having a bad day. It doesn't excuse it but I have had days that I wanted to go off like that on certain annoying customers.

think about it. the guy is responsible for how many multi-million dollar movies each year??? all of the pressure is on him as a leading actor. if the movie is crappy, what are the chances it falls back to him??

same thing w/his ma & sister. the whole story was never released, just he blew up. there might be a reason behind it, how can anyone judge w/o knowing the full story???

was is valid for him to do this??? probably not. but how many of us have had a bad day and wanted to do the same exact thing??? honestly???

Sounds like someone in the marketing department or from the picture itself tried to re-publicize this incident to get some buzz going about the movie.

Degrade whoever he wants? That's a little stretch there, this is the first time we've heard something like this happen. I'm not saying he's justified in his behavior, but we know absolutely no back story to what happened after. I'm just saying don't crucify the guy until we know the complete story.

i honestly think this should have nothing to do with it, even though i understand your point. christian bale is a human being, equal to everyone else on the set and he should treat all others with respect. the guy wasn't yelling back at him, there was no need for bale to just consistently bash him. boy, what a morale booster

I doubt that kind of buzz will help. Most folks sympathize with the abused, not the abuser.
