Can anyone see if First Blood is still available on amazon.com? I can’t seem to order it. Part III goes fine

Never seen any of these so I’ll be introduced to part 1 which I got off of Amazon. Looks promising.

Az.Com are laughable at best, they only had part 1 and 3 up and now 1 is oos. I live at the other side of the planet and must combine my orders.

I would have supported local BBuy if they had the movies I wanted in stock, but they don't. I'm glad Amazon price matched First Blood, as that's the only one I'm interested in. I chose no-rush-shipping since BF will prooobably screw up shipping times, and I just want to avoid being annoyed.

I hope everyone gets the movies they want one way, or another.

That was my intention as well.

Yes at that price, most definitely. The resolution is the most obvious upgrade about all three UHD’S. I think the colour palettes on the UHD’s are better than the newly remastered Blu rays that are included with each UHD. That might be something to do with the HDR? The old German Blu rays are better than the newly remastered ones in that respect in my opinion. I’m keeping my German blurays because I don’t like the colour palettes on the remastered Blu rays. First blood has a more blue/green tint. Rambo 2 and 3 are more yellowey!

Hope that helps?

Yes. The colour palettes are miles different to the old blurays.

Yes. These are first-run editions, so do have slip-covers.

Went to two Best Buys and no luck with these. Target has them, but will not pricematch BB. Maybe Amazon will surprise us.

I guess I'm lucky in that I only want First Blood. Can't beat that price!

I don’t like that people are only buying the first.

I actually rank the movies in reverse order.

III is big, loud, dumb fun, but it knows it and embraces it.

First Blood actually thinks it's a serious movie (and for a while looks like it's managing) but ultimately doesn't having the film-making chops for it.

Wonder if these will get a steelbook treatment at some point?

I actually think First Blood really works as a dramatic film and it’s one of Stallone’s best performances. His monologue about Vietnam at the end of the film is heartbreaking. The sequels are another beast entirely and lack the depth that the first film had.

Yeah, people take the piss about Stallone's unintelligible ramble at the end of FB but I think it's incredible, it's just so raw.
