How long does it have to go on? Sometimes the shorter arcs are far better than the long drawn out ones.

I thought Doc Ock taking over peter parkers body and being spiderman was awesome. One of the better stories in a while and like most better stories, didnt overs stay its welcome.

Storylines come and go and I agree that sometimes shorter ones are better.

But main characters tend to go as long as they are profitable. Honestly, I doubt this even makes it to the theaters. This will probably end up going straight to Blu or having a really limited release.

But we all love 3D, so I hope this is well done and has great 3D. If the 3D is solid, I'll watch it for sure.

Probably, but most people are only outraged by things that are designed to anger them.

His run didn't last very long? He had his own run from his introduction in the Ultimate Universe to the end of that reality. He was then one of the few characters from that reality to port over to the main 616 universe and immediately got his own run there which is still going. Not only that, He has been a major payer in other titles such at Young Ultimates, Spider-men I & II, The Avengers, and The Champions (which is also still ongoing).

You feel he was the beginning of this PC age of Marvel and there is nothing I can say that will convince you otherwise, but don't pretend he isn't popular or a profitable character for Marvel. Will he ever be as popular as Peter Parker? Hell no, but I don't see him going away anytime soon.

I don't disagree that Miles isn't completely going away, Marvel execs state that will diversity has hurt sales but the characters are not going away.

Some of these are more popular with younger kids, if you grew up on Peter Parker, Steve Rogers, and Tony Stark, people are going to turn off. If you didn't grow up on them and Miles Morales may be your first introduction to Spiderman, then you are going to be more connected to that character. Problem is, many younger people don't buy comics like people who grew up loving comics.

Make no bones about it, these new characters are not very popular, sales are slumping, some saying crashing, and the comic industry may very well be on life support.

I don't know how you define popular or successful but when your industry is dying because you got rid of icons and replaced them with diverse group of new characters, that isn't successful.

According to Wikipedia, it might be Wilson Filk/Kingpin, voiced by Liev Scrieber.

Making a minority version of Spider-Man is clearly forced....maybe Black Panther should be a white guy raised in Africa (yes there are millions). I'm sure that would go over well in the black community.

If you want to see this on 3D Blu-ray, you're better off contacting Sony than posting here.

They are only releasing Venom in 3D in a few countries and of course The Emoji Movie and Hotel Transylvania 3 just got dumped out flat - Sony treat 3D animated movies like kids TV. Hopefully they won't be so stupid to do the same with this, but I certainly wouldn't bet on a worldwide release.

Interesting to see such positive reviews. This looked great from the initial preview, but when I went to see VENOM they showed a different trailer for this one and an extended trailer after the credits as well. The pig spiderman threw me off. It's like they took Spanky Ham from Drawn Together and put a Spiderman mask on him. Really changed the perception of the movie for me. Hopefully it's good

Yes, exactly. He's maybe 2-3 feet tall with a giant snout, and he cracks jokes.
The trailer on the net makes it seem like there are 2 spidermen, but the trailer I saw in the theatre had over 10. There are alien spiderman, cartoon animal spiderman, female spidermen etc... All of them join forces to create this team of spidermen across multiple dimensions. It's a completely different trailer than the ones online, unless I've just missed one of the trailers on youtube

I just watched the trailer online. I love Spider Ham. He's awesome. This looks good. Might be better than Homecoming.

They have Noire Spiderman, Spider-Gwen , peter parker , Miles , and Spider-Ham. The villains look good too. Kingpin which was always a good spiderman villain in the comics , and then The scorpion who was another great villain from the comics.

I hope Sony does a 3D BD release of this too! If it is seen in theaters in 3D it should be BD released that way as well!!!!
