Personal note:

I've made a few of these list, but this one is sure to be my favorite. For me, Star Wars is the pinnacle of entertainment experiences. From going to the theater on opening night and being part of the spectacle of it all, to enjoying the blu-ray releases in your own home, watching the series and reading the books to go deeper into the stories, going to conventions, all the way to the lengthy and highly entertaining conversations in these very forums, it is all very special to me. My tastes and appreciation of other material and genres is very wide, but I just simply love Star Wars. I hope everyone can enjoy this list in the spirit of fun in which it is intended. Star Wars is very nostalgic for many people. I hope this list can recall a bit of that nostalgia for everyone this holiday season.

May the Force be with you!

Tracking post

Here was my list compared to where they ended up here:
Quote:
Personally I will probably just stick to the films and TV series and not do like the Lego stuff or documentaries.

GREAT:
1. The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
2. Star Wars (1977)
3. The Force Awakens (2015)
4. Rogue One (2016) (#6)
5. Return of the Jedi (1983)

GOOD:
6. The Last Jedi (2017) (#8)
7. Revenge of the Sith (2005)
8. Solo (#10)

DECENT:
9. Attack of the Clones (2002) (#9)
10. The Phantom Menace (1999) (#7)
11. Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008 animated movie)
12. Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008 - 2014 animated tv series) (#11)
13. Star Wars: Clone Wars (2003 - 2005 animated tv series) (#12)

AWFUL:
14. Droids (1985 - 1986 animated tv series) (#19)
15. Ewoks (1985 - 1986 animated tv series) (#18)
16. Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure (1984 tv movie) (#17)
17. Ewoks: The Battle for Endor (1985 tv movie) (#16)

POSSIBLY THE WORST THING EVER MADE:
18. Star Wars Holiday Special (1978) (#15)

Never really got into or watched enough to rank:
Rebels (2014 - 2018 animated tv series) (#14)
Star Wars: Resistance (2018 animated tv series)
Lego Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles (2013 - 2014 animated tv series)
Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales (2015 animated tv series)
Lego Star Wars: The Resistance Rises (2016 animated tv series)
Lego Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures (2016 - 2017 animated tv series)

...and not going to try to rank documentaries.
[/SPOILER]

Hoping Solo does well, what an under-appreciated little gem that is.

The Star Wars Holiday Special

The Star Wars Holiday Special is a 1978 made-for-TV musical science fiction movie set in the Star Wars galaxy. The main storyline of the film transpires on the Wookiee home planet of Kashyyyk. Chewbacca and Han Solo visit the planet to celebrate the Wookiee holiday Life Day with his family, which includes his wife Malla, his son Lumpy and his father Itchy. The plot is strung together by a series of musical numbers, celebrity appearances, and other variety-show acts, including songs and comedy routines by such 1970s celebrities as Jefferson Starship, Diahann Carroll, Art Carney, Harvey Korman, and Bea Arthur. This is also the first appearance of Boba Fett.

Empire of Dreams

A 2004 documentary about the making of the three original Star Wars movies. The documentary is strictly chronological, divided into five parts, from the beginning of George Lucas' career as a filmmaker, to the complicated production of Star Wars in 1976, to the impact the film, and its sequels, have made on the world today. It features interviews with George Lucas and major cast and crew members.

The two-and-a-half-hour-long documentary was made for the bonus disc of the DVD box set of the Star Wars Trilogy, released on September 21, 2004. A shortened version of the documentary premiered on the A&E Network later that fall. The TV version ran at around ninety minutes, cutting out nearly an hour of content.

ahh, yes... nothing like bullsh*t hyperbole from the jaded fanboys here.

You may not have liked TLJ - and that's fine, people have some valid arguments - but there is no way you honestly believe stuff like the Ewok movies and Holiday Special were better.

Where can I see it now?

EDIT: Found it on YouTube.

Rodneyfaile, here's a thought: with each posting, maybe include a little blurb on where it can now be seen-- streaming sites, current home video release, etc.

If you have the 2004 DVD set, it’s on the fourth disc there.
