Odd start to the game. Steelers with methodical drive down the field and Patriots with a big play home run.

That might be one of the best special teams punt downing I’ve ever seen.

Surprised the refs didn't call it a touchback or a TD for one of the teams. Not used to such competence.

It should be a touchback.
NFL rules are so bass ackwards most of the time.
99% of the time, the ball is all that matters on any given play.
1% of the time is that punt play they just ruled down at the 1.
Odd how the ball doesn’t matter during one specific instance.
I don’t blame the refs for their incompetence. Look at the contradictory rules the NFL has in place.

The rules definitely do need to be simplified in general, but a lot of the gaffes this year are squarely on the refs. Above-average eyesight and a double-digit IQ shouldn't be this hard to find.
