My Beginner Set-up - Blu-ray Forum

Hey guys, i just posted some pics of my bedroom set up. Its very "amateur" as im a university student and kinda short on money, but i started getting into home theatre a few months ago with the purchase of my first hd tv and a blu ray player i have been addicted ever since! ...lets just say that i have spent the last 3 months price matching amazon and chcanada prices at futureshop for br movies! lolol...

so the purpose of this thread is so you guys can make a few br movie recomendations based on what i currently have in my library (about 20 movies so far

Yeah my wife isn't to pleased with my purchases since I joined this site. Its a expensive hobby. But once I get my new rear speakers I'm done for awhile.

If not, no not really.

I like your set up. Perfect for a dorm, or so it looks like, in my opinion. I'm in college as well, and it seems like there are more and more of us on this site as the weeks go by. Check out my bedroomtheater.

price matching has become my best friend sinc the new year...saves me a fortune. if it wasnt for it, id prolly only have 5 or 6 blus lol

Yeah, had the dark knight going while taking pictures. Some is from the beginning, the others from the hospital scene and Hong Kong Imax scenes.

Starting out is always fun, keep it going and get yourself a sound system. You'll love it! I like the posters but my better half refuses to let me put some up

I've watched about 75% of my collection. Many remained unopened since I also have Netflix. I get most of my BDs cheap so I don't mind buying them just to have it. There are other tabs in my gallery if you didn't see my video/audio setup. Definitely work on getting a receiver and speakers down the line, I couldn't believe the difference once I bought mine and it's considered a lower end setup.
