Conner rushed for just under 1k yards, had 4.5ypc, 13 TD and 500 rec yd. Again at a fraction of the cost that Bell would’ve needed to play. Would Bell have lined up to block the last second FG the Chargers kicked to win it? I agree Pitt is a mess, but your reasoning is a little whack to say the least. You keep focusing on unknown variable instead of what was there. For all we know Bell plays and gets hurt in week 1 or runs for 2k yards. That’s called speculation. There’s no way to ever tell what difference Bell would’ve made over Conner, but it’s reasonable to surmise that Pitt overcame the loss of Bell much easier than they did in other areas of their organization. |

Didn’t Dallas lose more games with Elliott in the line up than without? |

Trade rumors for OBJ are starting up again and this time the landing spot is with the 49ers.......
[Show spoiler] ....the team has cleansed itself of problematic players over the past few years, no need to bring in more drama, no matter how talented they are. We have Beckham lite anyway.... [Show spoiler]

I haven't heard the OBJ to SF rumors but AB liked a pic of him in a Niners uniform on Instagram and it got everyone talking. It would be nice to have a superstar receiver but year, no more head cases, been there done that. Only if their contracts could be structured where the Niners could easily cut ties if things got messy. Otherwise the focus needs to be on defense, which earlier in the week Sherman had been lobbying for Thomas to come to SF which would be great depending on how much you can land him for.

Steelers would take a $21.12 million cap hit if they traded Antonio Brown, which is only $1.045 less than if he's on the roster. The Steelers are the type of franchise that won't give in to the demands of an unhappy player so they'll likely try to fix the relationship rather than trade him.

Tomlin should've been gone a while ago, but I don't think there's a clear better choice if they let Tomlin go right now. Also Tomlin might be the one consistent element they'll need to keep if Bell's going, Ben's possibly retiring, and now Brown's also possibly getting traded.

The way the division's balance of power is shifting, I don't think the Steelers want to torch everything and go into a multi-year rebuild. Ravens and Browns are relatively young teams that could run the North for a while. Steelers have to find a way to keep up or get buried (same goes for the Bengals).
