I've been working 3am-3pm on a swing shift for the past two years. Thursday I go to a 4 days on, 4 days off schedule. It's going to take some getting used to, but I think I'll enjoy it.

whoo...not sure i could handle that shift. 3am-3pm? yeah.....no thanx, lol.

my neighbor's son works 8-6 mon through thurs. i'd love to have something like that. 40 hours a week with a 3-day weekend every week? sign me up for that.

i'm hoping i get the full-time shift where i work. i don't know who all has applied so i don't know how many other people are going for it. but it's the only ft position being offered right now....well, except for a ft closing shift. and i REALLY don't wanna be on a closing shift every day. but the one i applied for is, i think, a 9-6 shift; which is pretty good to me.

Luckily I only live about 7 minutes from work, and I'm typically a morning person.

4on 4 off eh? What planet do you live on where you have a 8 day week?

I'm currently on a 4am-3pm Monday-Thursday shift. While it may seem nice to have a 3 day weekend every week, it's not always sunny...for instance because of the longer days I usually end up sleeping/recuperating 1 of those 3 days. Oh and depending on the nature of the job, and the company turnover rate you could wind up having to work weekends as well which was my case most of last year and im sure 2019 will be no different. Oh well, I just keep telling myself this job is only temporary-it's by far not a career choice. Of course I say that and here I am still doing it for over 5yrs now when originally I had only planned on doing it for one summer lol

i've only had a couple jobs where i worked close to home. one was a high school job and one was as a manager of a restaurant in my home town. the 1st was about 3 miles away and the 2nd was maybe a mile. all my other jobs have been at least 25 miles with a few being well more than that.

It's a fairly common shift to work here in the UK (on production lines), so for example you'd work Monday to Thursday the first week, then the second week you're working Tuesday to Friday, and so on. The only drawback is your shift will fall over a weekend as well on some weeks, but you'll be on a higher hourly rate for those two days (normally double time).

The shift patterns can vary - some places I know where you work 2 days and 2 nights, or you can work 4 days / 4 nights instead. I liked this shift when I was younger, but a 12-hour shift now at my age would be a struggle I think.

Lol what a joke. Cinema Blend posted a story about James Wan saying an early draft of Aquaman was more political. I simply commented that politics should stay out of movies, shows and games. The comment got 20 likes and was removed for no reason. This PC movement is ridiculous.

The past couple of days I've noticed people on the train kind of avoiding me. They'd board, stand next to me then quickly move away or stand somewhere else. I always make it a point to check my face to make sure there's aren't bodily fluids dripping from orifices and I try my best to avoid sweating but I was stumped this time. Turns out it was some Starbucks coffee I spilled on my jacket which I didn't notice until the smell was overbearing enough. Wiped it off as best I could but the smell is still fairly strong. I think I'll spill more coffee on myself from now on if it'll help keep a bubble around me in public. I hate being ganged up on.

Working to sell a board game I no longer play. Will be posting a classified ad soon. The question will be how much to sell it for.

The wolverine that has been around has become a nuisance so the company brought in an expert to try dart and then relocate him.

I figured it out myself on how to turn off the led light that glows while my tv is turned on. Calling the Sony customer support number was useless and a waste of my time.

The color scheme of my Messenger app on my cell phone changed to purple by itself and the box where you type the messages in says "SMS" - can someone who's more knowledgeable about tech tell me why this happened?
