I think 3d might make a comeback if Avataar sequels get big (as in rake in a ton of money), given they are released in 3d, which seems very likely, just like the first time when they pushed 3D to become more mainstream.

I'm still holding on tight to my E6, and perhaps I'll get an upgrade with the 2nd/3rd gen HDMI 2.1 Oleds which might get brighter then 1000 nits or some.
