You can look at the cs10 or cs20 they are from the tsi line of polk. The tsi line took the place of the monitor line this year. I used a cs10 in my setup til i recently found my cs2. It matched very well. The tsi is just a this years model of the monitor line with different cosmetics but just about the same specs.

Another pretty new company you can look at is The Speaker Company. I've never heard their speakers, but the prices aren't bad and people seem pretty happy with them at this thread. They do free shipping, 30 day in-home trials, and even free return shipping if you don't like them. Not much to lose if you decide to try them out.
I didn't get a chance to read through the whole thread you linked to. Bottom line...would they compare to the Polk speakers mentioned above? While I do want to go in with a budget in mind I don't have to have ultra cheap prices.

How about the RTiA5 for fronts and CSiA6 or just A4? This would be a blast...but hey nobody suggesting it around here.

The short answer is that I don't know. All I know is that from what I've read people seem very pleased with them, especially for the price. And it's just another option you can consider. I wasn't trying to twist your arm when I mentioned them.

This is another solid option to consider if the budget allows it. It's a step up from the monitor 50/60 you're looking at, and since it's a more current model, it's easy to find all the matching pieces. I've personally auditioned the RTiA5's and RTiA7's with matching centers and was very pleased with both setups. I've also watched these setups on the Polk Ebay store a little bit. Even if they don't have everything you're looking for right now, their inventory changes quickly, and it's not a long wait to get what you want.
