I'm not sure how this will be handled, but the problem with these "prequel" shows (i.e. Smallville and Gotham), while I've enjoyed them to some extent or another, is that they ultimately reply far too much upon the mythos of those characters (i.e. villains emerging, events happening) that should not even occur until well after they've taken on their super hero personas.
Somehow I anticipate young Alfred and Thomas Wayne to encounter and deal with villains from the Batman rogues gallery. I don't know what else they can do with it. |
