Whenever Best Buy sell their refurbished, or open box TVs, they can repackaged and tape the original box exactly the same as if it came from the manufacturer, and the customer wouldn't be able to tell the difference. They keep all the boxes for their display model TVs and A/V receivers in the back of the store, to be reuse to repack their refurbished and open box merchandise. When a refurbished or an open box item is sold, the cashier will need the original box to scan the barcode to enter product's information into their system.
