nice that you got your 'Sony System' - up and going - in Dolby Vision
(Sony player/Sony tv) i just wanted to clarify, at least as i perceive it, that LG supports the 'universal' Dolby Vision 'profile' but not the profile 'unique to Sony displays' that requires 'yet another HDR' for consumers to endure (confusion) - (they did it right with regards to Dolby Vision from the beginning years ago, and yet you had to return their 'really nice player' for their efforts i have nothing against Sony (great consumer electronics company), however, as i perceive it, this development only benefits Sony, and not the industry :: forced you to have to return an LG for a Sony; right? :: whom benefited? don't we already have enough 'HDR formats'? if this keeps up, how is anything going to be compatible anymore? i will refrain from commenting on Samsung/HDR10+ |
