6. Kickboxer
7. Maximum Risk
8. Cyborg
9. The Bouncer

Since he's not the main star, I didn't include Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning.
1. Timecop
2. Universal Soldier
3. Sudden Death
4. Bloodsport
5. Double Impact
6. Hard Target
7. JCVD
8. Cyborg
9. Kickboxer
10.The Bouncer

So many of these are on the same level for me, but I’d say this is pretty accurate. Like you, I’m not counting Unisol:Regen or DoR, although those are both great action movies.

Best performances:

1. JCVD
2. Until Death(could have been one of his best movies if the other actors didn’t suck it hard)
3. The Bouncer
4. Enemies Closer
5. Replicant/Sudden Death

Shout has a deal with Warner. I could see them doing a Collector's Edition for it.

Apart from #1 and #2 slot I had a very hard time ranking them. So yeah, this is my top 10 in no particular order apart from the first 2 or 3 slots.

1. Bloodsport
2. Kickboxer
3. Double Impact
4. Lionheart
5. Universal Soldier
6. Hard Target
7. Timecop
8. Cyborg
9. Maximum Risk
10. The Bouncer aka Lukas

There are a few little things in the extended cut that I really love about The Bouncer. For example
[Show spoiler]when Lukas calls his daughter for the last time (he's sitting in her room) he clearly struggles to say somethting to her as he knows this could very well be the very last moment they ever spend together. He doesn't get a single word out. After a pause she tells him that she loves him. That bit has lots of emotional weight.

Yeah, I like that kind of stuff. I'd totally grab the extended one if it had English subs.

Yeah, I'm hoping a UK announcement is coming soon. Although, I'm kind of expecting it to get shit out on DVD there as well.

Yeah being foreign language might make distributors think there's less of a market on Blu-ray unfortunately

I basically enjoy all of Van Damme's work. But The Bouncer is really up there with his classics.

Yup, I just don't get DVD only releases these days. If you're only gonna release it on one physical format, make it bluray! Just ridiculous. Pretty sure that people who still buy Van Damme movies all have blu-ray players.

No kidding. Really hoping for another good thriller/drama. This feels like what he should be doing at this stage in his career. I honestly don’t really care about straight up action movies from him anymore. Give me a good thriller with some substance and I’ll be happy.

Nice ranking. I'm weird and prefer some other films but here is my ranking

1. Hard Target
2. Time Cop
3. Bloodsport
4. Universal Soldier
5. Double Impact
6. Lionheart
7. Cyborg
8. Kickboxer
9. JCVD
10. Expendables 2 (not a great film but I love him in the villain roll)

I haven't seen Death Warrant or Sudden Impact since the 90s so I don't feel comfortable ranking them. I still need to see Legionnaire, No Where to Run and Black Eagle. I can't wait to watch Lukas.

Same here. It works really well. I think Lionheart 2 could work well, too in that regard. The original is a street fighting movie but with so much heart and emotional impact. Part 2 with an older Lyon (similar to his role in The Bouncer) could work.

Yes, Sheldon Lettich and Van Damme should team up again.

Even though I didn’t like The Order or THC, I’d still like to see what they would come up with. LH and DI are JC classics so I’m always up for them giving another movie a go.

The Order isn't the greatest movie, but I like how different it is with its adventureous feel and exotic locations. Van Damme clearly had a lot of fun with this one. It also has the fountain fight.
