One thing to keep in mind though is TCL and HiSense use absolutely junk panels - So even with these souped up backlights they're using, be prepared for tons of banding and DSE... The recent dolby vision TCLs have had some of the worst I've ever seen.

If anything those brands should put the kibosh on the excuse of DV licensing being "too expensive".
