Trophy of what? Overhyped crappy remakes of Asian flicks?

Just get Matt Damon's head, it would work SO much better.

Seriously though, I see no need since I never bought into it to begin with. Now if the format had hung around a little longer and I was sure players would be available in the future, I might would. But I doubt it.
I agree with that.

What's the point in going out of your way to keep as many players as possible up and running in the house?

And once the HD-DVD player breaks down, you're up a certain creek without a means of locomotion if you know what I mean.

Spending money on HD-DVD now is more of a waste of money than it was DURING the format war.

That's actually a VERY good point.

The 360 add-on is only $30-40 many places. I'm thinking of getting another one to make a laser/light gun that I saw on a DIY forum.

And maybe having a spare for my 360, as well.

I keep hearing all the HD-DVD guys say that they'll just Ebay another one if/when the time comes that their HD-DVD player breaks down.

My question is, what if it doesn't break down for 5-10 years when HD-DVD has become EXTREMELY obsolete?

I mean I've heard of cases of people hoarding them NOW, let alone when their primary one's start to break down.

It's like telling someone that a certain brand of you-know-what is only available in a sponge, and they start hording them.
