Cold Mountain on Blu-ray?

I’m hoping one day Cold Mountain will be re-released in 4K UHD. The cinematography, musical score, acting, directing and script are all top-notch quality. Just imagine how stunningly beautiful a proper 4K UHD transfer would be of this movie.

Which brings me to say, it would be even better if Cold Mountain was released on a 4K UHD Steelbook as well. Surely, the fans of the movie would love to add a Steelbook to their collections. I’d purchase both the 4K UHD standard and Steelbook versions / packaging of the movie.

To some this may seem highly unlikely, but it could happen. After all, the movies Me Before You and A Few Good Men received a wonderful 4K UHD transfer. In 2015, the Cold Mountain: Motion Picture Soundtrack was released on an 180G 2xLP vinyl for the first time. Many people had doubted the movie soundtrack would ever receive a vinyl release, but thankfully it did. I, alone, bought two copies of the vinyl record. Therefore, anything can happen.

Cold Mountain will always be my all-time favorite movie. I can only hope it receives the love it deserves. Here's to hoping for the best!
