Hey jw I'm curious how you store your Steels. Do you simply pack them away on a shelf? Or do you display them somehow?

How many of you care about DVD steelbooks? Excactly ... Blu steels just seem pointless for the price. However, I guess they are just for die hard collectors who dont care about them being outdated at some point.

What exactly is the point of this post? Sounds like trolling to me.

Well, how's this for an Analogy:

- A 70 year old stamp that only cost 2 Cents at production time. I wouldn't even be able to send a letter with it today. POINTLESS

- A 100 year old coin. If I tossed it into a vending machine, I wouldn't even get a Mountain Dew for it. POINTLESS

- A 70 Year old Baseball Card of a Player who's been dead for 30 Years. I could hand it down to my Kids, but they have never even heard of the guy. POINTLESS

Get the Drift?

Well, I care about DVD steelbooks, but I have shift to blu-ray steelbooks because I am now only buying blu-ray movies.

AB I like your post... But if you want to send me those old items, I'll take them off your hands!

Wreck: Do you collect anything? Do you do it for value or for simple pleasure of just enjoying the things you collect? If you don't collect anything, why bother those of us who do?

Well said, and AB as well.

People just don't get it. Everything has to be "valuable" in terms of what they can get for it, and who wants it, and anything else is just a waste and crap.

People these days just don't seem to get the whole idea of collecting something because to each their own -- what makes them happy is most important. Ah well, I'll enjoy my steel and to hades with what anyone else thinks.
