United Kingdom Batman Anthology

According to Amazon.co.uk, the set's been pushed back to June 15th 2009...

Guess I'll have to import the boxset from the US.

yea that blows...oh well....I still think 40 or 50 dollars (if that truly turns out to be the difference) is worth it.

In hopes that the US version doesn't get pushed back as well.

I'm sincerly gutted because tonight I managed to sell my 8 DVD Anthology Boxset on eBay and thought I'd use the money to upgrade to Blu-ray.

Strange since the individual titles are out. Its just a matter of putting a cardboard wrapper on the 4 titles.

Which makes me wonder why you guys arent just buying the four titles?

lets see. Buying indiviudally to U.S. is $22 per title. That's $88 for the full set.

Right now the box set in USD is $49.77, let me see.....

errr why not just buy the only two good movies ('89 and Returns) and give the last two films the finger? If you're a completionist, I understand getting the box set. Otherwise, you're just spending money for the sake of spending money IMO.

However, if you actually WANT to sit through Forever and Batman & Robin, you're probably a sadist as well.

I thought of the same....I really just like the first two movies but for an extra 5 dollars I can get the set....

Batman and Robin is more of a comedy than anything.

I'm sorry but when Clooney whips out the Batcard, and Bane growls like he's experiencing explosive diarreah when he's pulling down that giant mechanism, I cough-laugh everytime.

ya the last 2 are pretty bad, but i will be getting them anyway. I really enjoy having themed movie marathons. Over a couple of days (once i get the set) ill be watching 1-4 then begins and the dark knight. I really love having movie trillogies and sets for that reason

I actually was expecting this because I can feel the U.S. release getting pushed back because Amazon and Warner Bros. doesn't have a list price yet and it's out in a month. Something is obviously wrong.

i wouldnt be surprised if warner dropped the boxset from the uk altogether.. by the time june comes you should be able to pick these up in buy one get one free deals or by 2 get 3rd free etc.. i only paid about 20 euro each for them when they came out which was pretty cheap for a new release albeit a catalogue one

why bother going to the expense of creating a set.. ? its funny.. most people go mental when films are released in a set like the matrix was in the US as they want to buy them individually... in this case its down to pricing..

i bought all 4 movies just to have the complete set, and i'm pretty happy with them... i certainly couldnt wait till june for a boxset..

Especially because I just sold my DVD boxset in hopes of having the Blu set in a month.

I don't mind waiting though, I've got other movies to keep me waiting.

Whatever happens, I'll be getting the set, being the completist (and not completionist ) I am.
