Believe it or not, I was talking to an actress last year who said she had been filming a sequel to BACKDRAFT. I've heard nothing about it before or since but maybe this has something to do with that?

Backdraft is a solid flick for sure. Always liked it. Fire and explosions always look better in UHD and w/ HDR.

Breakdown? heh I have a fondness for the movie but it's not exactly made for 4K UHD...

I'd rather U-571 of a Jonathan Mostow picture, as well. Think Universal might wait until 2020 for that one

I went to see Bad Boys, a movie about cops; I can't believe it wasn't like an episode of Cops.

You can put out a small fire with a wet blanket.

From Firefighter1, a partner of the International Association of Fire Chiefs.

6 best firefighting movies, and a disclaimer from the first paragraph: The Hollywood take on firefighters’ lives shows a much different picture than what a true firefighter deals with day in and day out.

No guff, otherwise it would be a documentary! lol

1. The Towering Inferno
2. Hellfighters
3. Backdraft
4. Crash Landing: The Rescue of Flight 232
5. Fire! Trapped on the 37th Floor
6. Ladder 49

From their tagline on the top 10 firefighting documentaries we can presume the above are not real and not raw.

These documentaries are not your typical Hollywood adaptations; they're real, raw and offer a glimpse into the life of everyday firefighters - Top 10 firefighting documentaries - https://www.firerescue1.com/entertai...documentaries/

Who is FireRescue1? - https://www.firerescue1.com/about/

This is a site that offers training, sells firefighting equipment, etc., they don't seem so bent out of shape about Backdraft.

I appreciate what went into Ladder 49 and I enjoyed the movie and I own the Blu-ray, I don't pish all over Backdraft because it doesn't have the same level of realism as another Hollywood movie as I enjoy and own both of them. Whichever one you like better is the better movie for you.

Oh god yes.
Fix the audio and the original mix as it's always ruined
I will buy it regardless as it's a favourite

I would love all of those. My top KR picks that won’t get released are Tombstone, Big Trouble, and Executive Decision.

Oh right - is it out yet? I was pretty surprised: Can't imagine there are many people clamouring for a sequel after all this time.

Oh yeah. Love listening to the score, and bookending it with the Bruce Hornsby songs (as the CD does) works so well. The Show goes On is one of my favouritest songs ever.
