I'd love 13 ghosts with a bunch of awesome features. They could probably get most of the people involved too.

I feel like Mars Attack would be really tricky since it has an all star cast.

Just saw the list of new "special features" for The Craft. None of the four leading ladies? Really? They couldn't get one actor to talk about the film? Even Christine Taylor or Skeet Ulrich? They're even having a Craft reunion at Monster Mania this March! All four ladies will be there!

Oh well, at least there's the b***hin' new slipcover, right? R-right? Lmao

Edit- Really Blu-ray.com? I can't say b i t c h i n? Give me a break.

Also, not trying to stir things, or be a negative Nancy. I realize for every release like The Craft, there's a loaded release like Urban Legend. I just don't understand how it all works, I guess.

That's a major letdown for me regarding the lack of involvement from the girls. We already knew there wouldn't be a new video transfer and now the extras sound disappointing or at least, severely lacking. I'm not even sure I'll purchase it. I've already got the Sony BD. That may be good enough.

Back before the company took a turn for the worse (with the pricing especially), and they announced things like Urban Legend, The Craft, Creepshow, Trick 'r Treat, Sleepwalkers, etc. I sold all of my regular editions in anticipation of their new releases. I wish I hadn't. Yeah, some are worth it, and others aren't. But I rarely pick up Shout releases anymore due to their price gouging. I'll wait for sales or whatever. I'll probably just rebuy the regular release. The price is absolutely not worth it.

unfortunely, they cant make the cast do interviews if they dont wanna.. and sometimes is not even that.. maybe they were busy... anyway, it just makes releases like Urban Legend that much more exciting.. with extras galore

Bit annoyed I just imported the When a Stranger 2-Film release, but probably saved me a bit of money in the long run.

Who would be busy from the craft, besides Ulrich?

Not quoting because I don't want to call out one person in particular. Mean this in the most understanding light possible. That said...

I love how people seem to think actors/directors/writers must be beating down Shout Factory's door to talk about some rando movie they did twenty years ago, and Shout's response must be "Nah, we good" while they light stogies with $50 bills.

Do you really think they would turn down the opportunity to have them talk about these movies if they could get them to? I get that it's disappointing that maybe it's a lackluster release. Maybe it just doesn't earn your dollar this time?

Way too much logic there.
Why post a logical response when it’s so much easier to blame SF. I’m just waiting for the inevitable, wacked out, post blaming the Kennedy assassination on SF.

I was watching this movie tonight after not thinking about it pretty much since I bought the DVD when it came out and thought I'd go online and see if it had been remastered/re-released in Blu-Ray. And I find your quote from yesterday and get this potentially great news! I hope they release this. I'd love to see a crisp new transfer from film.

I begged my parents to let me stay up late to watch this when it aired on my local TV station (I think I was ten at the time) because Tom Baker was in it and my brother and I were massive Doctor Who fans. It aired from 11:30-1:30am on two consecutive weekends. It blew my mind, even on a snowy black-and-white TV. So good.

But why did they even bother releasing it all, if they couldn't even do a new transfer/scan, let alone get anything worthy for extras?? Pretty pointless release, when the old disc can still be bought for cheap.

A few things:

- The Terminator is very likely coming from Scream at some point (either them or Criterion)

- Iceman is coming from Kino
I hope that happens. I haven't seen it since the late 90's.

I would've bought it had it included new interviews with the main cast but as is ill probably stick with my original release.

I cancelled my order of "The Craft" . So not worth the money just for a cool looking cover. If you can't even get interviews with the original cast, don't even bother

True. I'm not one of those people that condemns Scream Factory for everything they do (you know, the ones that always say their video transfers are shite) and I'm not one of those people that always kisses their arse either. Regarding this release of The Craft, I wasn't nasty or hostile towards them. I simply stated that since we knew a new video transfer wasn't in the cards, the deal of me purchasing it hinged on whether or not the extras were impressive. Now, had they included a new commentary track (and/or lengthy interviews) with Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell, Rachel True, and Robin Tunney, that to me, would have been worth the price. Because none of the girls participated though, I called the release "disappointing", "severely lacking", and a "disappointment". That's just how I feel.

I find it odd they couldn't have at least gotten Fairuza Balk. She seems super fan friendly and goes to a lot of horror conventions. If it was a scheduling conflict, I would have made time for her, even if it meant delaying the release for several months.

SF has delayed releases before when they were able to secure new content, actor/director involvement, etc. They know there’s a weekend where all four ladies are in the same place. Unless the ladies are asking for ridiculous money (doubtful, they’re doing cons), SF should look into delaying this release and send someone to the con to do interviews with them.
