Even if you don't get high def through DTV, a box with component outs/component cables will still dramtatically improve your picture quality. Like I and others said, do yourself a favor and get some component cables for your DVD player. It'll make a huge difference. I recommend www.bluejeanscables.com.

agreed. to the OP, what kind of outputs does your DTV box have on it? and also go buy some component cables for your dvd player as that will help the PQ out a lot

I will be sure to get some component cables for the dvd player. And pic up the hdtv tv box. I would just like to say thanks for all the fast responses. I was hoping it was something that could be easily handled.
