Whoops! Heh. Yeah, I miscounted. Apperantly so did Disney.

Polygram Video released a bunch of episodes on VHS back in the early to mid 90's along with a Pizza Hut promotional with two VHS tapes that had two episodes each on the tape. I had the Pizza Hut videos and one or two of the Polygram tapes back in the day. This is great to see that they are finally coming out on DVD.

I remember watching this and Spider-Man every Saturday morning before heading off to soccer. Glad they are finally releasing it. Brings back so many good memories.

It's been one of the top requested cartoons to be released on DVD for ages. And it's finally coming. According to TV Shows On DVD, 2 2-Disc Volumes of the 90's X-Men Animated Series are coming this way on April 28th from Disney! It'a about time, and hopefully unlike Gargoyles we'll see the full series released. Here's the link to the full news and the early, subject to change, art. Can't wait!!

http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/X-M...nnounced/11203

Since each one is a 2-Disc set, they're probably basically doing the same thing the UK releases did. Which means each volume is probably one season. Since in the UK the show got released last year in 1-Disc sets with half a season each. Here's how they broke 'em down over there. Can't wait for this!!

The Tick is still waiting on a third season release and two scattered episodes they left off the first two seasons. If these X-Men volumes do not sell well initially, the remaining volumes will never come out. Disney is ruthless like that with tv properties.

I really should not complain as I have like 72 of the 77 episodes recorded off cable to dvd-rs.
I posted this a while back, well NOT THIS, but a thread in regards to WHERE THE HECK THESE EPISODES WHERE, and found some bootleg websites and glad i didnt order it!

I still have those Pizza Hut VHS sitting in the video case. Might have to dig them out just to get a jumpstart.

Also the "missing" episode from Season 3, "No Mutant Is an Island", where Cyclops
[Show spoiler]thinks Jean's dead after the first half of the Phoenix Saga and wanders off for a solo filler episode, while Jean lands back to earth in a meteor
, for some odd reason wasn't originally broadcast until the crappy, generic, filler-laden Season 4 (where it otherwise belonged)--
Thus leaving an odd continuity jump in Season 3, where
[Show spoiler]Jean's suddenly back
with no apparent explanation.

Don't know if the Wikipedia episode list is in production order or broadcast order, but assuming production-order, Volume 3 should put the story back in order again.

Everyone should buy this. My favorite animated series ever.

It's a lot better than X-men Evolution. It's more adult like Justice League. More true and detailed to the comics than the movies.

I wish they did a cross over in film or TV one day with the X-men universe and the Star Trek or Babylon 5 universe.

So glad they are releasing this series. My main wish was for them to release the complete series instead of volumes/seasons. I'll order these and pray they release the rest of the series.

They won't put it back in order. I was hoping they would but after seeing their Scrubs season 7 release not in order (the last episode was supposed to be 3rd or 4th from last), I believe Disney doesn't care.

I downloaded this recently but I'm glad I'll be able to delete it and watch it on dvd. I've never seen it all, caught bits as a kid (was less into comic book stuff then than now, oddly enough) but I'm very much looking forward to it!

I don't think they don't care. They probably just don't know the ins and outs of it. I wish they'd do more research on this stuff.

Everyone please support this show. Don't hold for a potential blu-ray release. We will increase the chance of completing the series on DVD and also a possible eventual blu-ray if we support this show by pre-ordering it now!

And Stargate fans should do the same with the Atlantis blu-ray release. It's not a sure thing Atlantis will release in complete seasons. For ex, The Amanda Show is still only available as "best of" releases ... and there's even one "best of" release that was on VHS but is not on DVD.

YES!!! Last thing I need is another Gargoyles Season 2 Part 1 fiasco sitting on my shelf.

Note - I preordered months ago. Can't wait - only 1 more week.
