You forget plenty. You forget every instance where you insulted people and there are many of them. You forget every instance of sarcasm that you yourself used.

Yeah, sure I have directed posts at Alchav and he has directed some at me but it’s hardly in the same league as our resident **** takers.

You made no replies to those posts in which you defended him. Not even once. Silence is already tacit approval and giving a sarcastic post a "thanks" is an outright endorsement. Doing so 12+ times is giving a standing ovation to them.

It’s not a case of ‘He started it.’ What I was pointing out is that hostile attitudes haven’t altered and therefore friendly, respectable conversation is not possible. For th3 record, I don’t include you in that as you are capable of respectful conversation.
There are only 5 members I feel that way about on the entire forum. Check other threads and you will see respectable, insightful conversation with other members and helping each other with recommendations and solutions to issues. As you love a good search, check them out?

A point I forgot to make was what if major big budget films are released in interactive form? That would literally replace regular films. An Avengers film or Disney film for example. The regular film would then not be available as it had been dismissed for another format. Overnight, my scenario would come true.

But here's the thing: years ago I took a certificate program at the University of Warwick. Only if they were all made that way. If interactive movies become popular there will likely be big budget ones, maybe even Avengers or Disney ones. But it's a huge leap to say that all movies (or even all big budget movies) will be interactive.

Additionally the biggest movies now are mostly sequels and sequels can't work well with interactive movies. If you can change the outcome of the story then it's very difficult to continue that story. Something like the Marvel Cinematic Universe would be especially difficult to make. There certainly couldn't be any big cliffhangers that keep audiences coming back for more.

True enough. If the Chicago White Sox name me their new starting center fielder then overnight I would become the new starting center fielder for the Chicago White Sox.

That's a pretty big if though. In fact, it's an if only in the narrowest technical sense.

No, I only own the DVD myself, but the German blu-ray import (Region B) is pretty inexpensive, $9, for those who are really big fans of the movie. The French region free release costs 10X as much.

She has been banned since about Jan. 5th. Some conflict in the "What's On Your Mind" thread appears to be the cause of it.

Having seen the events that lead up to her banning, I wouldn't be surprised if it is permanent. I'm not wishing for it to be, but in terms of the way she was talking back (to put it lightly) to a mod among other things leading up to it, she pretty much brought the banning on herself. She actually had just come back from a temporary ban just before this all went down, and she pretty much immediately made things worse.

Given that her being banned was a topic of conversation for the last several posts, I don't think mentioning the circumstances surrounding it to be inappropriate.

Plus her not being able to give her viewpoint wouldn't be an issue if she hadn't taken things so far as to get (what seems to be) permanently banned in the first place. It's fine to miss her and be bummed that she is gone, but it's not like permanent bans are just handed out for no reason. It's fair to both be bummed that she is gone while also acknowledging the reality that she did some things that she shouldn't have that resulted in this.

All I know is that some conflict occurred that resulted in her getting banned. I witnessed none of it, so I am in no position to judge. Even if I had observed it, my opinion would not really matter. The moderators are the sole interpreters of the rules and they alone enforce them.

I do know that I am sorry that she is gone. I liked reading her posts. I hope that she is not gone for good.
