As they say it's not a massive surprise, given the amount of things that seem to be heading into streaming from movies, rather than being persued solely in the theatrical realm. Scott's final prequel must surely be dead in the water, not that it was exactly full steam ahead after the mess that was Covenant. Or perhaps he's parlayed his intentions for the final flick into the series?

I'm somewhat intrigued, but I won't allow myself to be excited until I see the names in the creative team.

![]() ![]() Hopefully Scott's series will conclude the Covenant storyline (even though I'd rather have a 7th film) and the 2nd will be more in line with what other fans want (going back to its roots). The cg will probably suck to be honest though. Last edited by JEDGAR1000; 02-13-2019 at 11:47 PM. |

Hopefully, the Ridley Scott-produced one will be the sequel to Alien: Covenant/prequel to Alien that would never see the light of day on the big screen. Maybe he could even direct it himself, presumably after finishing The Merlin Saga. That would be ideal. I wonder if Fassbender and Waterston would be ok with reprising their roles on the small screen.

My dream is they retcon the travesty that was Alien3 ( like Neil Blumenkamp was going to do) and reunite Hicks and an adult Newt. Doubt the tv show could get and afford Riply back...but they could easily get Michael Beihn as Hicks and cast an adult Newt.

They had a solid cast going forward of loveable characters to bring back if need be. |
