Bought it on Black Friday. Not a reference transfer but serviceable.
I thought it started off very bland with lots of Giallo cliches, the theme from Riz Ortolani is killer though. Once the mystery deepens the movie took off and my interest grew. There are plenty of memorable sequences with unsettling moments.

Aside from the occasional audio pops, I watched the Italian audio with English subtitles and found the subtitles either were ahead or at times even lagging the Italian audio, this became a bit distracting and I might opt for the English version next time I watch it.

If 88 films decides to release it in their Italian collection or Arrow would give a go, I'd definitely upgrade, but overall pleased with this release, eventhough I'd sworn not to buy any Code Red titles, at the reduced price and being a Lenzi fan, hard to pass up and glad I took the risk.

This is a mid tier giallo, about par with stuff like Spasmo. Worth picking up. It is better than a lot of gialli.

Yes, indeed. And I also hope So Sweet, So Dead gets a nice Blu upgrade from other label with a fully uncut version and Italian audio option.

I rented this from MEL a few weeks ago. Was kind of disappointed; it’s not terrible, but I found it rather middle of the road.

I'm the outlier hipster that liked it better than the incredibly overrated Deep Red.

Just watched my 88 Films Blu-ray and I enjoyed it. Never had seen it before. It didn't waste any time getting to the murders. Just wish it had more gore. But overall I liked it..glad to have it.
Antonio Sabato used to be Virginia Madsen's father-in-law.
