Default Dear 20th Century Fox...

Dear Fox,

Please come back by releasing 28 Weeks Later / 28 Days Later on Blu-ray disc.

For those who didn't like 28... I don't care.

Effing AWESOME movie! 28 Weeks Later is an amazing horror movie and a soundtrack to blow away ALL soundtracks. Fox, if i dont see this day/date with the DVD, i would be afraid to start your cars in the mornings. That is all.

Great movies, but I am tired of begging those jokers (Fox) to let me spend my money on their products.

Is anybody else worried that Fox has pretty much abandoned this format war and decided to stay with DVD solely for now?

I mean, have they released anything new since Night at the Museum in April?

Hasn't BD plus been ready since June?

How come they are keeping us in the dark about what their plans are?

Maybe they decided their wasn't enough money in HD media right now...

How much would that sting?

No. Even Amir posted that Fox was working on encodes behind the scenes. Not exactly sure why he posted that, but seems to be good news. Putting things together like that they have been working on BD+, the next round of AACS keys will be available in September, and MGM has a release scheduled for the first half of September, I am expecting to see at least one title from Fox in September or early October. I think there is a good chance that we will have good information on at least one title by the time CEDIA in early September is over.

If memory serves, the first "28 days" was shot on DV (Canon XL-1s I think)

No point in a highdef release

I wouldn't say no point. Removing the bandwidth limitations of DVD will help clean it up. Getting uncompressed sound instead of what's on the DVD will help.

Not everything will be PotC (not that you're saying that) but almost any show will see some sort of bump up over the standard def release.
