there's been way too much technical talk here for the past month...
can I just simply say that I've had my new Panasonic 820 for a month or so and it's hands down the best player I've ever owned. I play everything on it (2k and 4k discs) and the color, the sound, the clarity are terrific! ![]() |

Anyone has problems with the Amazon Prim app on the 9004. I tried to watch ' the Grand Tour' but it is unwatchable. The picture is stuttering shaking etc and sometimes it even freezes. Anyone has the solution?

Yes I have updated it, I believe it was 1.51. No changes on the Amazon Prime app though

My 820 has been acting up lately.
Sometimes when I turn it on, it gets stuck while there's the "welcome!" message on the front display but nothing happens after that. All I hear is a loud spinning noise from the fan. Have to disconnect the power in order to get it working properly again. Anyone else had this problem? Edit: downloading new firmware as I type this, hopefully that'll resolve the issue. |

Yes I have experienced the same problem with my 9004. I own it now for about 4 months and had to unplug 4 times. |

I'm sorry if this question was here before but the number of pages is now to big. Can anyone tell me if I can play MKV files from my NAS via the Panasonic UB9004? Most of the time I do get Video but the audio remains mute. Anyone?

So strange. I've had mine since early spring last year, but this issue only arose last week. I've now updated it to the latest firmware, will see if that has any effect on the issue at hand.

The mkv itself isn't the problem. The Panasonic players will NOT play lossless/high-rez audio that's in a video file. It is not a hardware limitation but is a deliberate decision by Panasonic to restrict such playback...and that info should really be a sticky somewhere as it literally comes up every few weeks when another user discovers this.
