search ebay etc and find out what these have been selling for.... then figure you'll get 15% less or so locally.

Shipping on Ebay items can be expensive. You may be able to get more by listing them locally on Craigslist, etc. I'd start higher than Ebay prices for 2 reasons: 1) No shipping charge for local pickup. 2) The buyer can inspect the items in person.

you can always use audiogon as a price reference in regards to audio equipment.

a number of colleagues ive had have used them, and pretty decent folk compared to ebay, since most of us have one point or another are familiar with audio equipment and their conditions.
