Wow that is not chump change, I was thinking maybe league minimum or slightly above. Not sure why Dallas didn't wait to see if the draft might net a decent TE as almost everything is going to be better then a out of retirement vet that has not put the pads on in over a year now.

Was the TE draft/free agent class projected to be that bad? That amount of money almost sounds like Dallas lured Witten away from his ESPN paycheck rather than Witten wanting to go back to them.

It’ll help the ESPN booth. Tessitore is really good but neither Witten or Booger moved the needle much.

If true, that’s amazing. Basically doubles his current salary. This means they will have to move on from Agholor(or do a massive restructure) and/or Peters.
At least they should be, I think, out of salary cap hell. Won’t be landing any big name free agents.
