Do you think there is a chance that they are open-minded enough?

I totally feel that she deserves to be nominated for Best Actress. She takes a lot of pride in her craft. James Cameron, Robert Rodriguez and especially the fans are fortunate that Rosa was available for the role. Weta determined that to make Alita believable they had to use her face to make it work. Rosa has such a expressive face and she totally brought Alita to life. And because she was CGI a lot of effort was spent on showing just how lifelike she was (her awakening, eating the orange, dog licking her face etc.). Also by virtue of it being Rosa’s face but for the eyes, I think it helped the audience to buy into Alita, since Rosa’s face was not that well known/famous.

And let's not forget her voice work.

Watching many YouTube videos of Rosa, she is an unique actress. Is Rosa quoting Alita or Alita quoting Rosa, “It’s all or nothing with me, that’s who I am”.

I doubt it, still too disruptive to voters’ traditional thinking, but you never know.

That's the dude who said in that Panasonic PR jolly that he didn't do any calibration at all to his Panny OLED client monitor and - bam - it just matched his X300 OLED. Hmmmm.

for use as a critical reference monitor for color grading Dolby Vision

your assertion has some merit

but as a client monitor, or for a consumer watching HDR content at home, I think it’s sufficient….actually, top drawer, wuz up Kay, you - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7YyC3Z1dbg#t=23s

It's in the video of Dado Valentic doing a 'colour grading 101' session as part of a PR bit for the new Panny OLEDS. He literally says that he just put it on a certain mode and that was it, it matched the X300 right out of the box. And lol at Vincent Teoh having the nerve to point out that the peak highlights on the Panny were still losing colour compared to the highlights on the RGB OLED monitor, to which Valentic replied that people weren't going to be seeing those anyway and that colour volume was seriously overrated. Vincent then tried pumping him for information about Sony's new HX310 monitor but the Panasonic PR guy shut him down

Panafonics make the best OLED sets (since Sony stopped making the one retail one they did)
But its all about micro led.

Yes, it was fantastic. I'm assuming it was Vincent Teoh - it sounded like him, and they called him Vincent. It's a real shame that it was curtailed (the Panasonic guy said they should continue over lunch I think!) because how many other chances would we have for a conversation such as that to be recorded!
