Watched Ready Player One last night. Good, fun movie. Lots of action, lots of well-done CGI, and good 3D. There was an homage to another film in it that I really enjoyed. Quite unexpected.

Good to know, this has been on my list to pick up. Will only do so if I can get it really cheap.

Picked up The Meg 3D (Ebay).

I tried to get into it but the movies references threw me off. I'll pass on this one

The book was a bit different in that regard, but it would have been nearly impossible to film, and to make sense, plus it might have been a legal nightmare. He had to re enact a movie, playing the part from memory.

Goosebumps was fun but not out of the ordinary. The 3D had depth but no real popouts nor imagination. Still, it's good for the collection even though it may remain on the shelf.

Since I ordered hunger games three and four in 3D, also got the first two to understand the story line. Watching first now and in simulation. Adds some depth and is more fun that flat.

I watched Smurfs: The Lost Village for the first time. I haven't seen the other two Smurf films and thought this was decently good. Their world is colorful and has nice animation. The 3D was fine. It has some nice depth and good layering with the foliage in the outdoor environments. There's definitely some effects and sequences that seemed to have 3D in mind.

TT3D: Closer to the Edge

Documents a very dangerous Isle of Man Tourist Trophy - motorcycle racing. Was surprisingly entertaining and the footage is immersive. 100% RT for what its worth (with 18 reviews). Pleasant surprise with good and sometimes great 3D - I suspect the parts that are great are native. Parts from the bike eye view I am not sure.

Since getting a projector that has 3D and a friend lending me some of his 3D Blu-Rays, purchasing has been a little crazy! I'm hooked!

Today I Bought (EBay)

Just watched Vye.

Superb 3D and effects in every aspect. Nice pop outs, excellent color and detail. Having no knowledge of the short story, found this a clever and often funny film to watch.

And it has to be watched in 3D to truly appreciate all it's production values.

Mary Jane is home now and I explained the purpose of an all region player - even though I held out getting one until they went on sale. She said this movie alone was worth it.

Myself, I imported TT3D from Amazon.co.uk. Olive Films had announced it (it's still on this site) but when I emailed them to ask about it years ago they confirmed it wasn't coming.

Thanks, much! Am a longtime motorcycle rider, so I will check it out. There are a handful of films I want from Amazon.uk anyway...

Rocky, we watched Transcendence.

I really enjoyed this movie and of course glad to have it in 3D. The 3D had a nice sense of depth but will admit it lacked ingenuity so there was little in terms of 3D "movement" or judding out of the screen. But despite those drawbacks, this would not prevent me from recommending it to any fan of 3D.

Had a minor issue with the occasional subtitle. For example, the city and year would be in French instead of English. Also, if there was a police sign or newspaper headline, a French translation would appear.

Again, was really into this film and the 3D did add to the enjoyment.
