Just watched this and it is region b locked and had to use my oppo 203 (region free). It would not play on my Panasonic ub820 even trying the tricks to make it play some region b locked movies. As for the 3d it looked pretty good with nice depth and some pop outs. As someone else mentioned the audio is a little weird with dialogue being lower than the other speakers. I wish I would have read his post before I started checking my connections/settings etc lol but I ended up just turning the center up about 4 db in the avr. No burnt in subtitles but one or two scenes had some German subtitles pop up (like certain location in the movie). I am still glad to have the movie in my 3d collection since the 3d looked good and those little issues are nothing to be concerned with. I should also mention I use Paul's 3d settings for oled and oppo 203.

Just watched Nut Job 2. I really enjoyed the movie and thought the 3D was good. I did notice occasional ghosting toward the bottom and upper part of the screen. But it wasn't there for most of the film. As others have said, I had the same problem with the volume. Music was so loud in some spots you could not hear the dialogue at all. Setting the speakers from cinema to standard did help a bit but it was still pretty bad.

Contacted amazon Germany about the wrong description concerning the region coding when the movie was first listed in December.
They promptly issued a refund.

This is one of the reasons I feel confident shopping with them

Didn’t you have to pay for shipping it back to Germany?

I'd be shocked for a $5-10 movie if they'd want it back. Other than the $80+ set that was damaged they've never asked me to send anything back to them once they were aware I was in the US. Even the big set, I requested a pre-paid label which using their corporate rates was a ton cheaper than pay/refund for a consumer would have been.

If it was labeled as Region Free when you bought it and turns out locked or unplayable then they'll almost 100% just refund your money.
If you get a refund or most of a refund, I'll take yours off yours hands for a pittance and shipping so you end up a couple dollars ahead after everything

Yeah these annoyed at first me as they seemed kinda random...BUT then I hit the "subtitles" button on my remote...and you can turn them off altogether....pity "off" wasn't the default....the only issue really seems to be the German title screen, but its no buggy....it doesn't effect the rest of the movie......

I also enjoyed this probably a bit more than the first one really, the 3D was better than I was expecting with quite a few pop-outs, some were a bit to quick but there were a couple of slow-mo ones, not a great deal of depth IMO but it made up for it on the other end of the spectrum when things were close up with scenery, bodies or heads forward of the screen.
Didn't notice anything wrong with the sound on my system, it played like any other movie for me.
The subtitles in German for whenever there was written English on the screen, like a sign or if it said Post office on a building was a little annoying but they were few and far between.

I would recommend it if you have a region B player

There are three subtitle choices including off. If you see German subtitles when there is written English, you have the subtitles set at 1/2. If German subtitles are present when English is spoken, it is set at 2/2. When set to OFF, there won't be any German subtitles on screen.

Subtitles set at 1/2:

Thanks for taking the time to post that info paul, I poped this back in today to try those settings, which were slightly different on my player.
Brought up the pop-up menu with the player remote.

Clicked on the closed captions header.

Where I had 4 choices plus the off setting.

Hitting the off as you suggested did the job

I now have a post it note inside the Blu-ray case with these instructions for next time.

Also did a post it note for my Sri Lanken Tadeo Jones 2 on how to get the English language track playing because of my poor memory.

Thumbs down Sound is messed up on a two speaker system

I finally got a chance to see this with the kids. Yeah, they mixed it wrong. The dialogue was set way too low to hear comfortably on a 2 speaker system. The background music drowned out the dialogue throughout the movie. Didn't they test this? Even people with surround setups watch movies with the tv speakers at night.

Are you sure you have your settings right? What you are experiencing sounds like you are listening to 2 channels in 3 or 5 channel mode (no centre channel).

I had the same problem. I have a 7.1 system (calibrated) and I've never had this problem before. Really poor audio mix in some parts of the movie. I couldn't hear some of the dialog either
