Default VHS to DVD recorder

Hey all,

I have a bunch of home movies that i'd like to convert to dvd, so i'm looking for a player that will play DVDs as well as record/convert those VHS tapes. i've never heard of a blu ray option that does that, so i'm okay with a dvd one. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thank you

I use the magnavox dvd recorder / vcr zv427mg9. Works well for converting home movies.

I use an Ion VCR 2 PC USB, which I got because my previous VCR constantly ate my tapes. It does a pretty good job if I say so myself. I realize it's not straight to DVD recording, but creates a digital file on your computer.

Here's a few listings I found on Ebay.

I converted all of mine a long time ago using a lite on DVD recorder my now wife got me for me Christmas that year, I just actually sold it like a year and a half ago. They go for preatty cheap on Ebay, really easy to use, just hook a VCR to it and press play on the VCR and record on the recorder. I've also seen now they have a box that allows you hook up a VCR to a computer (edit: like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XJKSJZ8) mentioned but I've never actually tried that, so dont know how good/bad it is.

The only really annoying about the whole process (no matter which way you do it) is it's real time, so a 2 hour tape takes 2 hours to convert. I used to set it to record then go to class and come back.
