Is it right to get angry when someone buys HD-DVD? - Blu-ray Forum

I have a confession to make. Last night I was at Wal-mart, exchanging a DVD set that doesnt work(and the new one doesnt work either

) but anyhow...And while I was there I wondered over to the BD section.

My local Wal-Mart only has about 6 BD titles but Ive been checkin to see if they are getting more. Anyhow, while I was there, there was a guy that picked up the HD-DVD copy of 300 and walked over to the check out. I have to admit, it kinda made me mad. lol, I know that might sound crazy but I wanted to be like..."Are you crazy?" and smack him or something

.

Well just wanted to know if anyone else feels this way.

I want this war to end and the more schmucks that buy into HD-DVD are just prolonging this neverend story that is the format war.

iv felt this to when my friends dad bought the add on for the 360 (they thought it played blu-rays hahathe bought 3 bluray lmao)

I can understand how you feel, but I don't think you can get angry at him for buying a movie. He already bought the player so of course he's going to buy movies for it. Who wouldn't?

Now if he was buying the HD-DVD player, that's another story.

No, I mean, I didnt really get angry at HIM. Just the fact that, that could have been a Blu-ray he was ringing up.

I will get angry if somebody buys a HD-dvd, but I keep it for my self, and think they are stubid cause they buy the secont best to the same price as the best.

The only time a couple wandered over to the HD-DVD section in Target while I was checking out the BD stock, they started asking each other "why is it so expensive?" They never did figure it out. They just assumed HD-DVDs were overpriced regular DVDs.

who cares if they bought hd dvd.
who cares if they sucked out and hit a gut shot on the river.

hd dvd has some good titles.
I realized this after looking at the 6 blu rays at my wal mart as well.
well maybe the had 7.
they had a plethora of hd dvd.

I wouldn't suggest harming them in any way. since they were hd dvd fans, and hd dvd fans seem to be a vast minority and you could be accused of commiting a hate crime.

He robably didn't even own an HD DVD player. But thought it would look good in his upscaling DVD player...after all, it says HD on the box!

I dont think its wrong for anyone to buy a HD DVD over Blu ray each one in its own rights has its ups downs. I own a PS3 and blu ray movies but no HD dvd titles but i would like to get the HD dvd player for the 360 because most of the movies i want are on HD dvd. So people really shouldnt hate to much on people who are for HD dvd.
