This whole thing just doesn't make any sense.

The Amazon sales rank continues to drop...it's now at 65.......they are definitely losing sales.
maybe somene wants the rankings to drop

I pre-ordered Spidey Trilogy at dvdpacific for $66.94 because they are #1 when it comes to quick shipping of pre-orders. I hope that they continue this trend for all future releases.

Better pre-order from dvdpacific.com or sendit.com.
If they jack up the rates cancel the order.
I think the prices will fall when it nears the release date.

deepdiscount.com has it for 72.35 with free shipping. Never ordered from them before so don't know how good the free shipping really is.

I bought the Fugitive and Under Siege blu-ray and other standard DVDs from deepdiscount without any problems. I have heard complaints because they won't let you edit or cancel orders. I do recommend dvdpacific.com though.

Sony should release all of these movies seperately like others have said...

I am a completionist so I will be buying the trilogy, but I think Sony would gain more market penetration if they could greatly advertise the fact that you can get any these movies in HD anyway you wanted to.

Spiderman Trilogy is going to retail for 9600 JPY ($82) in Japan on Oct-15-2007.
Pricing in Japan is usually $8-15 higher than U.S. This clearly means that the U.S price would be dropped to $69 soon. No need to panic.

You might be able to pick up each of them if someone on ebay is selling them seperately, otherwise you are out of luck. They are only selling #3 alone. Although they might later.

As a side note, Amazon lowered their price to $69.99. If I find it cheaper before they ship I will cancel and order it if I can get it for less.

I'm still seeing it at $90:

Thank goodness I got it preordered when it was still $70. I'm looking into a new HDTV for the living room. We have a 27" Samsung tube HDTV in the bedroom and was wondering, which one is better, plasma or LCD?

I sent this email to Amazon a couple of days ago:
<I noticed that some of your Blu-ray movies, including the
Spider-man 1-3 boxed set & Hollow Man are no longer 30% off. This
30% off logo appears on the main blu-ray page and it says 30% off of
all Blu-ray titles. These are obviously Blu-ray titles and they say
so in the item title itself. Luckily, I ordered the Spider-Man
Boxed Set on Blu-ray from you (Amazon) when it was $69.25, but there
are a lot of people on the Blu-ray.com forums going elsewhere to
make their purchases on these titles due to the price not coming up
right. Spider-Man Boxed set retails for $100.00, but it now comes
up as $89.00 on Amazon! These are not third-party vendors supplying
this product. They say sold by and from Amazon.com. This has to be
an error.>

They responded below:

<<<<<<<<<<"Thanks for writing to Amazon.com to bring this to our attention.

We build our web site information from many sources, and we really
appreciate knowing about any errors which find their way into it.

I will be sure to pass your message on to the appropriate department
in our company. I'll see that this error is corrected as soon as
possible. ">>>>>>>>>>>>

Hopefully they get this fixed for eveyone here who is holding off on purchasing.

We'll see. I tried the same thing a week ago or so and got nowhere. I spoke to them and also e-mailed them.
