3-Disc MediaBook (1 Blu-ray, 2 DVDs)

Koch Media are releasing, the movie will be uncut in Germany for the first time. interviews will include: Pino Donaggio, Massimo Antonello Geleng (Production Designer), Giovanni Lombardo Radice, Dario Argento and Gianni Romoli. Director Soavi won't be available as he is too busy with TV projects he is currently working on.

I wonder when the UK's Shameless release will be coming out?

The uncensored version received a "16" rating after re-submission.

Waited for this to drop in price as I'm not the biggest fan of this movie. Decided to go with this german Mediabook as the Shameless transfer looked horrible on caps-a-holic. Have to say this is the best this movie has ever looked, but as with most of Soavi's work, I have to struggle to sit through it.

The coolest feature on here is composer Pino Donaggio discussing his work not just on "The Sect" but also on Argento's other movies (Two Evil Eyes, Trauma, Do you like Hitchcock) and even Fulci's Black Cat. Beware, all the extras are spoken in Italian with German subs, so if you don't understand either language, they are pretty useless.

Just to make sure, I should get the north american release instead of Shameless (they have a really shoddy reputation as I recall)? It bugs me to not get subtitles, but A/V quality is most important for me. Thanks in advance!

Shameless UK release is the one to skip. I have no idea about the US version but I imagine they will probably use the same one as the German mediabook.

It's odd that Shameless messed this one up as much as they did, when their other Soavi release 'The Church' (La Chiesa) had a good transfer IMO.
