The UK tape is the closest to the original cut, if you remove the inserts.
Probably not of much interest for you in the US, but judging by your description the FORCED ENTRY 1981 theatrical version was released on VHS in Germany ca. 1982.

I noticed the Dark Force site has been suspended. Does this have to do with the Forced Entry cut?

No, the site is just down more often than it's up.

Finally got my hands on Butcher, Baker, Nightmare Maker; I've had the DVD for awhile now but have really wanted to upgrade for awhile now. They're selling it for a pricey $44.99, but it's half the price eBay hawkers are selling it for, so I took the bait.

Yikes! I like & own the movie, but that's an insane price to be paying for this release!

I suppose, but I've been trying to get it for so long that at this point I don't even care. It's half the price eBay scalpers are asking, so it's something I can live with. Been working lots of overtime lately anyway.

Is Mirror, Mirror (1990) still planned for 2019?

That site is up and looks functional (like they have SOAWN and it allowed me to add it to my cart - I didn't try to check out though). It does a redirect to darkforcesuperstore when you click "store".

So I guess they are open for business this morning.

The darkforcedvd.com site is back up, but click on the "On Blu-ray" banner. It seems that still isn't fixed.

Yeah, I see that now. My browser filters kickin and warn me about a potentially malicious site.

Oh well, there is nothing I want until they release their next title.

Glad you were able to score a copy.

That title has repress written all over it, was the original print run 3009 or something?

Too much money on the table for Bill to not repress.

I honestly don't know, but with Code Red I put nothing past Bill. Dark Force had it listed on their site as the "last" stock from the Code Red vaults in Seattle (implying there will never be any more), but they of course don't specify if there will be more pressed. For all we know the ones they sold last night were repressings and the claim of them being from the Seattle vault is entirely made-up. I guess we'll see if suddenly some more copies randomly surface in the following months. I'd normally be hesitant to pay that for a single title, but it looks like a lot of the users on here will stick to their guns far more than I'm willing to; if I want to own a title badly, I'll play the game, as annoying as it might be. I've wanted to own this on Blu for a long while now, just not for $100 as the eBay hawkers want. $45 I can live with.

Butcher, Baker is definitely one of CR's most popular titles as far as I can tell, so I wouldn't be shocked if it gets repressed. I still have the DVD which I bought from the Code Red bigcartel store several years ago, and as far as I know that has never been repressed since it made it to Blu.

Oh yeah for sure they could just repress more, or have already and slowly trickle them out with claims " found a hidden box in storage #4, last stock" , "oh wait, another box found under the floor boards of the wheelchair people bathroom"

He has not repressed as of this date. The ones that were just up for sale were from the vaults of Seattle. If you look at the pics we have of the vaults you will see that he has quite a bit of excess Code Red inventory in those vaults and like everything else it's not very organized. It's not a big surprise that he has been able to come up with stock on many of the older titles since returning to Seattle.

At least they finally took the listing down. Every time I checked the site and saw BBNM up, there were none to buy. But, since they've been down to the "last stock" for a couple of months now, chances are it will pop up again.

Hopefully, there will be a repress and it won't sell for $45.

I hope they will release a repress of Butcher Baker with the original poster art (not the book cover), some new extras and a nice slipcover with new custom artwork.
