September? C'mon.

Well, I'll probably just buy all four in June like the impatient idiot that I am.

I'm going to try to resist and wait for the box, but what an idiotic move to release them so far apart.

Exactly. Why take my money in June, Warners, when you can wait until September for it?

I have a feeling that WB has a replication bottleneck given their habit of selling out almost immediately. This could be their way to combat it. With sales so low of Blu-Rays overall, it doesn't make sense to overwork the limited facilities that are out there pressing catalog titles.

It doesn't make it any less annoying, but given that there's nothing special in the box, I doubt they'll be expecting double dippers.

I'mma steal that and add it to the first post (even though the misspelling of September triggers me).

Oh I think I might see. These are 4K discs ONLY? And then September we get the full combo pack with remastered Blu-Ray and digital copy? That seems to be my interpretation.

Ugh. That might make me wait.

Definitely in for the first two. In the dvd days I used to really enjoy Forever but I haven't seen it in probably a good 15 years.

Nah. Each individual release will feature the blu-ray and digital copy...

I knew it was coming but it doesn’t make it less exciting. 1&2 will easily be my most watched titles. This almost tops Die Hard and Predator last year.

Why are they waiting 3 months for the box set?

The new artwork looks okay, I guess. A little better than the images that were floating around a few weeks ago. Still wish they could've gotten Robin and Nicole Kidman on the Batman Forever cover. That's a really bad shot of Val Kilmer as Batman on that one as well. And perhaps Robin and Posion Ivy on Batman & Robin as well.

From the press release:
Quote:
The singles and the four-film collection will include collectible packaging with new art designed in stunning glossy retro colors reminiscent of the 1980's and 1990's era when the films were originally released in theaters.
I have no idea what this style has anything to do with 1989-1997.

I'm so excited for the first two in particularrr.

Sprinkle a little magic HDR dust on this -

and my knees may buckle under the sheer weight of joy.

Or, or or even just this in 4K -

You get my drift. Gah!
